Do not fear, this is not my last artist statement forever, just for the year. It is the last day of school and I am pumped for summer, but have to get through finals first. And as one final we were told to do a blog post about certain points that you will be able to make out in the later paragraphs. So without further a do, here is my final blog post. Of this year.
So basically for all of my assignments this past year, its just been me going and taking pictures of what I think fits the topic of the photoshoot. I had no plan, no idea of what I wanted to take pictures of, how I wanted to take the pictures. I jut shot my camera and picked the best ones. More times not if you looked at my pictures that included my family, I literally just got their attention and took there picture. Though sometimes I felt that those turned out the best. Or funny, which ever you prefer to think about them.

I also noticed a theme in all of my random pictures. I tend to get close. Especially in things that have great texture or color. I feel that getting close is the best way to capture things like that. Also its a pretty go way to make sure there are not distractions in the back.
So a major thing that we learned this year was, voice. We spent the year trying to find our voices and making them shine through our pictures. Well, sadly I still haven't found mine. I have some ideas but none are really screaming me. The best one I like so far, is going for a vintage look, or a look kinda like Stephen Shore. I like the feel of the seventies, everything was laid back, there was great texture in the clothing, the style of houses, and the music was awesome. So I think next year when I enter AP photography, thats the direction I will go in, or better yet I just had a brilliant idea, maybe each photoshoot will represent a music era.
So over the course of the year, I have learned many new things. Like how to show depth in a picture, and how different lighting can show different things. I feel I have succed in a lot of what we learned this year. One of those things though, was not aperture. I didn't understand, I couldn't get my camera to work. It was awful, but it's ok. Because in the end of the year I learned that I have a pretty goof understanding of portraits. I feel that was the most successful photoshoot this year, and I had a blast doing it.
First picture was one of aperture, and the second was portraits. So this will be my final blog post of the year. But do not worry, once school starts back up again I will be back to post more. But for now I don't want to think of school starting when, today is the first day of summer. it makes my brain hurt. So goodbye, have a good summer for this going on summer, for those not on summer break. I'm sorry. Bye Bye.
